Captain Barry Woods joined the police department in February 1998. He will now be assigned as the division commander for CID.

Lt. Steve Zahn has served the DPD since 2002. Before his promotion to the rank of sergeant in 2013, Lt. Zahn was a member of the department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit. Lt. Zahn served as a patrol supervisor for two years before moving to CID in 2015 to serve as the supervisor of the Drug Unit. Lt. Zahn was named the department’s Officer of the Year in 2012 and was twice recognized as the Officer of the Month and has earned Leadership Award and also eight commendation letters during his career. Lt. Zahn will now serve as a district supervisor in the Patrol Division.

Sergeant Matthew Lowery joined the DPD in 2001, serving as a patrol officer until being made a detective in CID in 2012. Most recently, he has served as the agency’s training officer. He was named the department’s Officer of the Year in 2008 and also was recognized as Officer of the Month in November of that year. He has 16 commendation letters.
