Tennessee woman arrested after shoplifting from Dalton Walmart with young son
According to Whitfield County Sheriff's Office report, on March 19th, 2020, at around 2:04 PM, a deputy was dispatched to the Walmart located at 2545 East Walnut Avenue in reference to a shoplifting. The deputy arrived and made contact with the loss prevention in the office, completing her paperwork. She advised the deputy Andrea Wilson, 40 of Cleveland, Tennessee, had been observed on video taking a sales tag out of her billfold and scanned it three times. The deputy was also shown the video. Andrea attempted to leave the store and was confronted as she was leaving the store. Andrea, while in the loss prevention office, was allowed by loss prevention to make a phone call. Andrea was heard on her phone call with others in the office that she had finally gotten caught using her two-dollar sales tag. Andrea had a small juvenile son with her, so she was issued a Magistrate Citation number for shoplifting. The deputy escorted Andrea out of Walmart. The report listed alphabet beads, toy turtle and silver pants as items shoplifted. Combined valued at a total of $31.19. Andrea Was booked into Whitfield County Jail on October 1st, charged with shoplifting.
