According to a press release from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee. "Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle in the 2100 Block of Gunbarrel Road. The vehicle fled from deputies and continued into Georgia. Preliminary investigation shows the suspect vehicle immediately struck a third party vehicle at the intersection of East Brainerd Road and Gunbarrel Road once the pursuit was initiated. Minor injuries were reported. The pursuit continued into Georgia" According to the Georgia State Patrol: "On Sept. 29, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Vehicle #1 and vehicle #2 were both traveling northbound on Ooltewah Ringgold Rd. Vehicle #1 was fleeing from vehicle #2 (a marked Georgia State Patrol vehicle) that had all of its emergency equipment activated. The driver of vehicle #1 was driving reckless, showing no regard for the motoring public's safety. The driver of vehicle #1 failed to yield and pulled over for vehicle #2. The driver of vehicle #2 successfully ended the pursuit by utilizing the P.I.T. maneuver. Vehicle #1 began to rotate counter clockwise and traveled across Ooltewah Ringgold Road. Vehicle #1 then traveled off the west edge of the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and hit a tree with its right rear end. Vehicle #1 continued traveling northbound in the west ditch of the roadway where it hit a driveway culvert. As vehicle #1 was traveling through the ditch, a piece of debris traveled airborne and hit vehicle #2 in the driver side window causing it to crack.
