Tennessee man arrested after leading Trooper on high speed chase in Whitfield County
Tennessee man after leading Georgia State Trooper on high speed chase Wednesday night in Whitfield County. The trooper attempted to stop a white Nissan Sentra occupied multiple times when it field to yield the pursuit reached speeds over 100MPH on I-75. The pursuit ended in a crash off the Tunnel Hill Exit (341) on Highway 201 near Hanks Carpet. A foot pursuit ensued and ended with the driver identified as Antavion McDaniels being arrested. Antavion McDaniel, 18, of Woodcroft Drive, Hixson, Tennessee, was charged by the Georgia State Patrol with felony theft by receiving a stolen vehicle, trafficking in marijuana, DUI (drugs), misdemeanor willful obstruction of law officers, misdemeanor fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer, seat belts violation, following too closely, failure to maintain lane, distracted driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, tint violation, improper lane change or usage, speeding, reckless driving and improper passing.
