A Summerville man is facing DUI charges after crashing truck into fence Thursday night in Trion. Chattooga County Deputies, Trion Fire Department, and Redmond EMS responded to the area of Sand Pit Road just off Creekside Drive just after 11:30 P.M. Thursday night to a report of a truck that had crashed into a ditch and fence. Once on scene deputies found a Chevy S10 truck off the roadway with the driver identified as Jacob Wofford of a Summerville Georgia address in the bed of the truck. Wofford blew a .18 on a breathalyzer and has already been arrested twice for driving under the influence (DUI) according to reports. Wofford told deputies he had only had a six-pack and had just left a friends house. Jacob Wofford was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of DUI-driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, and no insurance/ no proof of insurance.
