Summerville man arrested again, this time on drug trafficking and weapon charges
According to a Facebook post from the Summerville Police Department, officers conducted a search at a residence on Sixth Avenue in Summerville. Officers located suspected cocaine and marijuana packaged for resale, THC oil, illegal prescription medications, a firearm, digital scales and jeweler bags. Summerville PD Detective Ty Hutchins arrested Marvin Perry Jr. (21) of 294 6th Avenue in Summerville for multiple violations of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act (VGCSA) and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Marvin Perry was arrested earlier this month (March 15th) after he tossed marijuana out of his vehicle after being stopped for speeding on Highland Avenue in Summerville. According to the report obtained by The Summerville News Summerville officer Stricklin state “I asked Mr. Perry why he was so nervous and what he had thrown out earlier to which he replied a receipt.” Responding Officers found the object to in fact be marijuana in the ditch where he tossed it out at. Marvin was booked into the Bartow County Jail on the 19th for a misdemeanor probation violation he was released on the 21st.
