Storage unit in Dalton burglarized, motorcycles stolen

The Dalton Police Department is investigating the burglary of a storage unit in Dalton that happened earlier this month. Two motorcycles were among the items taken in the crime. Surveillance video shows two white males breaking into the unit and taking the motorcycles and loading them onto pickup trucks. Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects. The incident happened at the storage units on Shugart Road in Dalton. A man who was in the process of moving to Dalton from Atlanta was using one of the storage units and found a number of items missing when he opened it on July 8th. Surveillance video shows a silver 2001-2004 model Nissan Frontier pickup truck and a white 2000s Ford F-250 pull into the parking area in front of the storage unit. Two white males got out of the Ford and burglarize the storage unit, taking a burgundy colored Kawasaki 550 CC motorcycle and a black and gold Yamaha 50 CC motorcycle. Also taken were a 5 gallon Campbell household air compressor and two clear plastic totes containing various tools.
