Sleep blamed for Penn Bridge Road crash in Trion

Two people including a 2-year-old were injured in a single vehicle crash on Penn Bridge Penn Road in Trion. According to Georgia State patrol reports the crash happened 2:25P.M. January 16th 53-year-old Robert Sizemore of Summerville was traveling in his white Nissan Sentra when he fell asleep, his passenger side tires then dropped off the roadway. The front of the Sentra struck a culvert and then vaulted into the air for 39 feet over Walker Street intersection. Sizemore who just recently had surgery and his 2-year-old passenger were both transported by Redmond EMS to a local hospital in Rome.
