Several people arrested this week in separate incidents for shoplifting from the Walmart in Trion

According to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office incident report Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Wal-Mart last week after two people were involved in a shoplifting incident. The sheriff’s department was able to identify the male suspect thanks to Facebook profiles. Store surveillance showed offender was a younger white male wearing a blue ball cap and a blue T-shirt. The man could be seen pushing a buggy around the store and placing various items inside a buggy. The suspect then walked into the garden center. The suspect left the buggy inside the store as he stepped out to look like he was looking at something in the outside area of the lawn and garden center. When the suspect waited until the cashier at the register busy with other customers. The suspect stepped back inside and pushed the loaded shopping cart out to the parking lot. Suspect took exactly $564.60 of items. A few days later the same man came back in the store with a woman. A loss prevention associate recognized the woman. Once the woman was identified the sheriff’s office looked up her Facebook and quickly found the male suspect tagged on one of her posts.  Investigators were able identify him as Joshua Dale Hardeman. Hardeman who had an active warrant out of Cedartown, Georgia was issued felony shoplifting warrant for his arrest in Chattooga County. Hardeman was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Chattooga County Jail. In another incident on Tuesday afternoon Chattooga County Deputies were dispatched to the Walmart to a report of male suspect accused of shoplifting running across the parking lot. the suspect jumped into a red GMC near the end of the parking lot. Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force Deputy Commander and Chattooga County Drug Agent who happened to be near by heard the call and was able stop the truck as it pulled out of the parking lot onto Highway 27. Robert Tanner Earl of Dawnsonville and driver Amber Renee Higginbotham of Armcuhee were both arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail. Earl was found to be in possession of several stolen items. Earl was charged with shoplifting and Higgins was charged with shoplifting (party to a crime). Many more people were also arrested this week after attempting to steal stuff from the Walmart.
