Saturday Catoosa County business fire ruled arson

A fire investigator with the Safety Fire Commissioner’s Office has determined that a storage building fire at a local company in Catoosa County was intentionally set. The Catoosa County Fire Department responded to the fire around 1:10 P.M on Saturday, April 27th. “The fire occurred at Mashburn Tree & Stump Removal off of Boynton Drive in Ringgold. The fire caused damage to a second building as well as a large piece of equipment,” said Safety Fire Commissioner Jim Beck. “The structure where the fire originated was not connected with utilities.” Safety Fire Commissioner Jim Beck is asking anyone with knowledge about this fire to call the Arson Hotline at 1‐800‐282‐5804. Rewards are offered of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the arsonist(s). Calls are taken 24 hours a day and callers can choose to remain anonymous.
