Rossville woman arrested after fleeing from Georgia State Trooper on I-75 in Bartow County

A Rossville woman was arrested after she attempted to flee from a Georgia State trooper on I-75 in Bartow County. At approximately 11:15A.M. Sunday, January 27, a Georgia State Patrol trooper attempted a traffic stop on a white Pontiac G6 with a Florida temporary tag for a window tint violation. The stop was initiated on I-75 northbound at mile marker 284 (just south of the Red Top Mountain Road exit). The vehicle failed to stop and began fleeing at speeds over 100 mph. The driver drove in a reckless manner on the left shoulder and the right shoulder, nearly causing several crashes.
At mile marker 295 (just south of the Cassville White Road exit), the trooper utilized the PIT maneuver to end the pursuit. The PIT was successful and the pursuit was ended. The driver was arrested with no further incident. Brittany Rheana ware of a Rossville address was arrested and booked into the Bartow County Jail on multiple charges. The charges including possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, fleeing/attempting to elude police felony. operating an unregistered vehicle, following too closely, light reducing material affixed to windshield, driving while license suspended or revoked - 1st offense, improper lane change/failure to maintain lane, reckless driving, driver to exercise due care; proper use of radios and mobile phones allowed, speeding, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, must give signal/insufficient use of turn signals, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers-misdemeanor, possession and use of drug related objects, possession and use of drug related objects, driving within the emergency lane/gore/median, passing on shoulder of roadway, improper passing in no passing zone, and DUI-driving under the influence of drugs. She is being held at the Bartow County Jail on a $13,050 bond. We will have further information once it is released.
