Rossville Police looking for dangerous felon who sexual assaulted several women

MARYVILLE, TENNESSEE – Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said investigators with the Fifth Judicial Drug and Violent Crime Task Force arrested a felon wanted out of Georgia on multiple counts of aggravated sodomy, felon in possession of a firearm, and theft by receiving property stolen in another state.
Johnny Ray Robinson, Jr., 29, of Soddy Daisy, was taken to the Blount County Correctional Facility where he is currently undergoing the booking process.
Earlier today, investigators with the Fifth Judicial Drug and Violent Crime Task Force received information from investigators with Rossville Police Department in Georgia that Robinson may be in Blount County. Investigators continued to follow-up on leads throughout the day as to Robinson’s whereabouts until they located him in the parking lot of an apartment complex on West Lamar Alexander Parkway this evening. He was taken into custody without incident.
Robinson is awaiting extradition to Georgia to face his charges.
Once again the Rossville Police Department is asking for community assistance in locating a wanted person. Johnny Ray Robinson Jr. 29, of Soddy Daisy TN is wanted for crimes associated with the sexual assaults of at least two women, and they suspect that there may be more victims. Rossville Police say before the violent assaults Robinson drugged his victims to the point they were unconscious. Rossville Police say they have reason to believe that he is staying somewhere in Chattanooga and/or Soddy Daisy. Robinson is wanted for aggravated sodomy, felon in possession of a firearm, theft by receiving property stolen in another state.
