Updated: Sep 18, 2019

From Detective Dave Scroggins:

I would like to express our gratitude to everyone involved in the publication, sharing and viewing of our request for assistance regarding the auto theft a couple of days ago. We have developed tentative identification on the three individuals involved as: Quentin Cox, Ashley N. Walker and Makayla A. Whitt. A special thanks to those of you who got it right. Each of these individuals have extensive criminal histories including other charges for auto theft.

We could not have resolved this without all your help. It is truly a team effort to keep our community safe. We will provide updates as soon as the warrants are obtained.

The Rossville Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying the three individuals pictured below (Black male with blue shirt and two females with red shirts). On September 16th at about 3:30 in the afternoon a customer parked her white SUV in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store next to Sonic on Chickamauga Ave. She left the vehicle running with her 9-year-old grandson in the back seat. As she entered the store the three pictured individuals took her SUV with the child inside. The child and the vehicle were recovered a few blocks away where the driver (pictured blond with ball cap) abandoned the child and the SUV, fleeing the area on foot. The child was not injured/harmed. If you recognize any of the pictured individuals or have any information please contact the Rossville Police Department at (706) 866-1228.
