Rossville man struck and killed by vehicle Wednesday night in Catoosa County
The Georgia State Patrol has confirmed a man was struck and killed while trying to cross a highway in Catoosa County Wednesday night, March 6th at approximately 7:28 P.M. The crash happened on LaFayette Road at the intersection of Schmidt Road, in front of the Circle K. Reports from the GSP, say 66-year-old Alvin Broyles, of Rossville, stepped out into the roadway when he was struck and killed by a 2014 Kia Soul traveling southbound on GA-1. The Kia Soul was being driven by Mark Strickland of Fort Oglethorpe. Troopers say Broyles was not in a crosswalk when he was hit and was wearing dark clothing. The crash investigating is not complete but as of now, no charges are expected.
