Rocky Face man suspected of 20+ different area thefts arrested on several felony charges
According to a Whitfield County Sheriff's Office incident report, on July 16th, 2020, the Criminal Investigation Division conducted a search warrant at 1707 Westside Circle in reference to a theft case. Alex Howard Walker, 28 of Rocky Face, was arrested during the search warrant for multiple theft charges. During the search warrant, a large number of stolen items, such as credit cards and mail, was located. Walker is suspected of being involved in up to twenty-four different thefts in the Rocky Face area. One of the items located was an opened piece of mail to a female victim who lives on Westside Circle. The letter appeared to be from her mortgage company. A detective called the victim and spoke with her via telephone. She stated that she moved into this residence around one month ago and did not know an Alex Walker. She further stated that there is no legitimate reason why Walker would have her mail. Walker was charged with misdemeanor probation violation, three counts of entering an automobile with the intent to commit theft or felony, financial transaction card fraud, misdemeanor theft of lost/mislaid property, possession of meth and possession and use of drug-related objects.
