Ringgold man charged with DUI after crashing in the early morning hours last week in Catoosa County
According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report on July 11th around 3:04 A.M. a 1998 Ford F-350 being driven by Brandon Bates, 24 of a Ringgold address was traveling south on Baggett Road at Owens Road negotiating a curve to the right. The Ford traveled off the east shoulder of the roadway. Bates then over corrected and traveled off the west shoulder of the roadway. Bates over correct again and traveled off the east shoulder of the roadway striking a ditch with its front left. After initial impact the Ford overturned and came to a final uncontrolled rest on its right side. Area of impact was determined by driver statements and vehicle damage. Bates was injured in the crash and transported to CHI Memorial. Bates was charged by the Georgia State Patrol with DUI-driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane.
