Pursuit of stolen vehicle in Catoosa County

Shortly before 11:00P.M. Saturday October 3rd a Catoosa County Sheriff's Deputy spotted a stolen 2005 Ford Taurus traveling eastbound on Battlefield Parkway. The Taurus was reported stolen out of Chattanooga Tennessee earlier in the day. When the deputy attempted a traffic stop on the stolen Taurus it sped off turning onto LaFayette Road toward Rossville. The Ford Taurus, a stolen vehicle, continued traveling northbound on LaFayette Road (GA-1) evading the marked Catoosa County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle. A Pontiac Grand Am driven by a Woman out of Ringgold was also traveling northbound on LaFayette Road (GA-1) when the stolen Ford Taurus struck her in the rear near Cloud Springs Road. The Stolen Taurus which was just involved in a crash traveled into the southbound lane of LaFayette Road (GA-1). A woman from LaFayette driving her 2012 Hyundai Sonata SE took evasive action to the right shoulder and struck a curb with the undercarriage of her vehicle to avoid the stolen vehicle. The stolen Ford Taurus continued traveling northbound on LaFayette Road (GA-1). The pursuing deputy terminated the pursuit. The driver of the Stolen vehicle continued into Tennessee the suspect was said to be a white male.
