Pursuit from Cleveland TN of wanted felon ends in multi vehicle crash in Dalton Sunday night
According to the Georgia State Patrol Sunday night around 7:45 PM Bradley County Sheriff's Office was chasing a silver Honda Accord driven by Daniel Stewart of Cleveland. Stewart had felony warrants including aggravated assault and felony fleeing. The Pursuit that started in Bradley County Tennessee went into Whitfield County Georgia on Georgia Highway 71 (Cleveland Highway) The Georgia State Patrol says Stewart was driving extremely recklessly, and lost control of his Accord, traveling into the northbound lanes of Georgia Highway 71 near Waring Road. Stewart stuck a Ford Explorer causing the Explorer to rotate right and strike a third vehicle. The Accord traveled to an uncontrolled final rest where it struck a fourth vehicle. GSP later discovered that a fifth vehicle had suffered minor damage to its rear, possibly as a result of the vehicle debris from the Honda Accord.
