Multiple people arrested in LaFayette Monday by the Drug Task Force including a 911 dispatcher
According to Reports while Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force Agents were investigating a reported illegal transaction in the parking lot of the Kangaroo Express on North Main Street in LaFayette they spotted another suspicious exchange involving money take place. Four people were arrested including a Chattooga County 911 Dispatcher. DTF Agents arrested two in the first illegal transaction including 31-year-old Justin Allen wood for possession meth and use of a communication device to facilitate a crime. Agents also arrested 38-year-old Michelle Danielle Case for possession of meth. Reports say two more were arrested in the second incident including 33-year-old Charles Brandon Nicholson told DTF agents he gave money to Wade Gilbert Jr. 30-year-old to purchase opioid pills. Gilbert had left to get the pills and was then pulled over by LaFayette Police shortly after. Gilbert was arrested and charged possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a schedule III controlled substance (x2) and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony. Nicholson, who is employed as a Dispatcher at Chattooga County 911, was arrested by the DTF charged with criminal attempt to purchase a schedule II controlled substance.
