Motorcyclist seriously injured in two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Murray County
According to the Georgia State Patrol: "A black Kia Sorento was traveling south on GA 61 (Highway 411) in the turning lane, and was attempting to make a left turn from the turning lane into the Marathon Gas Station parking lot. A black Harley Davison motorcycle was traveling north on GA 61 in the left lane. The driver of the Kia failed to yield and entered into the lane of travel of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the Kia and the driver became separated from the motorcycle and was seriously injured. The driver of the Kia was not injured. The driver of the motorcycle was air lifted to Erlanger. Due to the pending investigation, the Post is not releasing any names at this time. This crash is still under investigation by Post 43 and Troop A Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT)"
