Man wanted out of Dalton arrested after disagreement turns physical in LaFayette last week

According to a Incident report from LaFayette PD Walker E-911 center received several hang-up calls from the South Main Street Apartment Wednesday. LaFayette Police Officers were dispatched. Once on scene they found a couple with scratches and wounds that were bleeding. Officers talked to a man that insisted it was only a verbal disagreement. The female victim told officers a different story. She said the two were arguing when she suggested that they get an air conditioner the man identified as Joel Kinsey Parm, 59 hit her in the head with his closed fist and pulled her to the floor by her hair. She refused medical treatment from EMS. Parm was arrested on a charge of simple battery. After running his information LaFayette Police found also that Parm also had an outstanding arrest warrant out of the City of Dalton.
