Man arrested after crashing while fleeing from Gordon County deputy
According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Sunday, July 12th, a 2018 Honda Civic being driven by Adam Nicholas Kerr, 25 of Peachtree City, was traveling north on Hyde Road. Kerr was attempting to flee from a marked Gordon County Deputy. Kerr was traveling at a high rate of speed when he attempted to make a left turn into a private drive. Kerr lost control and struck a wooden fence off the west shoulder of Hyde Road, with the passenger side of the Honda. Kerr continued down the long driveway before stopping near the residence. Kerr stated that he panicked after he was checked speeding on GA 136. The area of impact was off the west shoulder and was determined by damage to the fence and marks in the grass and driveway. The events of this crash were video recorded by Deputy Saylors's dashcam and body cam. Kerr was booked into the Gordon County Jail on charges of speeding, reckless driving, and operation of vehicles on approach of authorized emergency vehicles.
