High-speed pursuit of stolen vehicle ends with PIT killing two in Whitfield Co. Thursday night

UPDATE: The Georgia State Patrol has now identified both the driver and the two passengers involved. 32-year-old Phillip Jackson and 42-year-old Tiffany T. Bingham were both passengers killed in the vehicle. The driver of the stolen vehicle was 30-year-old Quentin Alonzo and was seriously injured.
Previously: According to the Georgia State Patrol: On Thursday, June 11, 2020 at approximately 9:42 PM, TFC Bullock advised the Troop A Communications Center he was in pursuit of a silver Ford Fusion on I-75 North near mile marker 320. TFC Bullock had attempted to stop the vehicle because it displayed a Tennessee tag that was listed as stolen. The suspect was driving in a reckless manner, reaching speeds in excess of 120 mph, while attempting to elude TFC Bullock. At 9:52 PM, TFC Bullock performed the PIT maneuver to terminate the pursuit near mile marker 338. The suspect's vehicle traveled into the median, overturned, and struck a tree. The three occupants of the suspect's vehicle were entrapped. The two passengers in the suspect's vehicle died at the scene, and the driver was flown by Life Force to Erlanger Hospital with serious injuries. The Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the collision. The vehicle that the suspect was operating was listed as stolen out of Chattanooga, TN. Next of kin notifications have not been made, therefore, no names of any occupants will be released at this time. The reports are not complete. Picture courtesy Adam Freeman
