Georgia State Patrol investigating fatal crash on I-75 in Bartow County Thursday night
According to Georgia State Patrol Reports, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Thursday January 10th A 2002 Nissan Maxima driven by 21-year-old Jackson Rumley of Madison Alabama was traveling southbound on I-75. The Maxima was in the left lane attempting to negotiate a right curve. Rumley traveled off the east side of the roadway, into the median, proceeded through a ditch and continued up an embankment. The car continued southbound in the median and began to rotate counter-clockwise, striking a tree with its right side as it came to an uncontrolled rest, facing east. The areas of impact were on I-75 South in the center median.
Previously: Georgia State Patrol is investigating a fatal single vehicle crash I-75 southbound near mile marker 292 in Bartow County. The crash happened around 8:30P.M. Thursday night. County officials have confirmed that Jackson Rumley of Madison, Alabama died in the crash. We will have further information on this crash once it is released.
