Four killed in Gordon County plane crash

The Gordon County Coroner's Office has released the identities of the victims killed in the plane crash Saturday. Roy Smith, 68, Fayetteville, pilot Morgen Smith, male, 25, pilot’s son Savannah Sims, 23, Morgen’s girlfriend (both from Atlanta) Raymond Sluk, 63, Senoia, co-pilot.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Cessna Citation disappeared at about 10:10 AM. The Cessna Citation took off from Atlanta Regional Airport-Falcon Field in Peachtree City shortly around 9:45 AM Saturday, and it was headed to Nashville, Tenn. According to the Gordon County Deputy Coroner, they recovered four adult bodies from the scene. She advised in a press conference they haven't made a positive ID on them. She advised that there were three males and one female. Because of their expertise in woodland operations, Georgia DNR Game Wardens were asked to assist the NTSB and Gordon County Fire and Rescue with the recovery of the victims. Sgt. James Keener and Game Wardens Ryan Thomas, Mark Moyer, Travis Shrader, and Kalem Burns are continued to assist with the operation today. NTSB said they were still on scene and gathering facts and would have preliminary information released soon.
