Summerville Fire Department, Menlo Volunteer Fire Department, Hays Fire Department, Redmond EMS and Chattooga County Sheriff's Office responded to 3086 Highway 48 shortly around 5:35 AM Sunday. 911 reported possible entrapment inside the house but once units arrived on scene everyone was out of the structure. Engine 9 arrived first on scene advising heavy fire showing in the rear of the structure. Summerville Fire Department posted on Facebook saying: "Crews did a great job this morning with a structure fire, ended up a two room and content fire with smoke and heat damage throughout entire residence. Aggressive attack got fire knocked down quickly. Quick interior search found two pets, crews worked on both animals and gave them to homeowners. Thanks to Menlo Fire & Hays Fire for the help."
