Fiery crash leaves two dead and two seriously injured in Walker County Thursday night

From the Georgia State Patrol: On March 26, at approximately 9:30 p.m., GSP was notified of a one vehicle crash with injuries and entrapment on GA 193 South of GA 341. Walker County Sheriff's Office arrived on the scene and stated that one subject was pinned under the vehicle and the driver was trapped inside the vehicle, which was on fire. A trooper determined that the vehicle was traveling north on GA 193. The driver lost control while negotiating a curve. The vehicle, a 2012 Dodge Charger, traveled off the roadway, striking a tree with the passenger side of the vehicle. The Dodge continued out of control traveling across the southbound lane coming to final rest in a ditch. A 15-year old male was transported to Erlanger. A 19-year old male was airlifted to Grady Hospital. While investigating the scene, the trooper determined that the driver was trapped in the vehicle and the right rear passenger was ejected from the vehicle. Both of the occupants were pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver has not been positively identified at this time due to burns sustained during the fire. The crash is still under investigation.
