Dade County Sheriff and deputy chase felony suspect into Tennessee on Highway 11 Thursday afternoon
The Dade County Sheriff initiated a traffic stop on a Blue 1992 GMC Sonoma SL for several traffic violations Highway 11 near the Tennessee/Georgia State line shortly before 12:30 P.M. Thursday. Shortly after making contact with the three occupants Sheriff Ray Cross requested additional units for assistance. After running the drivers information the driver sped off at a high rate of speed toward Tennessee on Highway 11 a Dade County Sheriff Deputy en route to assist quickly joined the pursuit as it continued into Tennessee. The chase ended with the GMC Sonoma which returned to a Chatsworth, Georgia address stopping near the railroad tracks. All three suspects ran from the GMC. Several agencies from Tennessee including Tennessee Highway Patrol, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, and others helped with the search one female was tracked and caught with a K9, and was transported to a local hospital. The other two males in the vehicle were identified. Felony warrants will be taken for the driver. The K9 search was cancelled due to weather. We will have further information as soon as it is released.
