Cloudland woman injured after falling asleep while driving on Highway 157 last week

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash on Wednesday, July 17th around 5:55P.M. a 2015 Hyundai Sonata being driven Denise Green-Huneke, 74 of a Cloudland address was traveling south on Georgia 157 near Wes Lane. The driver of Sonata suffers from medical issues causing physical impairment while driving. The driver of Sonata fell asleep and lost control of the Sonata. The Sonata exited the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox located at 14103 with the front of the vehicle. The area of impact was off the roadway. After impact, Sonata traveled across all lanes of traffic and exited the left side of the roadway. Sonata struck a ditch with its front. The area of impact was off the roadway. After impact, Sonata jumped over Wes Lane and struck multiple trees with its front. The area of impact was off the roadway. After impact, Sonata came to an uncontrolled rest among the trees and off the roadway. The areas of impact was determined by roadway and vehicle evidence and also the drivers statement. The driver was injured in crash but not transported.
