Chattooga County man charged with DUI and 1st-degree vehicular homicide following May crash

The Georgia State Patrol charged a Chattooga County man with first-degree vehicular homicide and DUI, according to jail reports. According to the Georgia State Patrol Alexander Pysher, 27, of Summerville, Ga., is accused of killing a Dalton man who was driving his Kawasaki motorcycle on Gore-Subligna Road back in May. Pysher allegedly crossed the center line in his 2006 Dodge Stratus and struck 74-year-old Windom Frank Willis on his Kawasaki. Willis struck Pysher’s windshield and was thrown several feet away. County Coroner Earle Rainwater was called to the site of the wreck and pronounced Willis dead at the scene. Charges were filed after a follow-up investigation by the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team and blood test returned showing Pysher was under the influence. Pysher was also charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, DUI/marijuana or controlled substance and failure to maintain a single lane.
