Chattooga County crash blamed on traveling too fast for conditions, Rising Fawn man cited
According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report on Saturday, June 8th, around 10:07 A.M. a 1998 Toyota Tacoma being driven by Justin Jenkins, 25 of a Rising Fawn address was traveling west on Mountain View Road negotiating a curve. Jenkins was traveling too fast for the wet roadway and failed to maintain his lane of travel. The Tacoma rotated counterclockwise and left the south shoulder of the roadway. The Tacoma struck a ditch, mailbox, and fire hydrant with the passenger side. After impact, the Tacoma overturned onto its side and came to rest off the south shoulder of the roadway. The areas of impact were determined by the driver's statements. A passenger Brittany Jenkins, 23 of a Trion address complained of injuries but was not transported. The driver Jenkins was issued a citation for failing to maintain single lane.
