Chattanooga Woman charged with DUI after crash in Walker County last month leaves several injured
According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report on around 3:55 P.M. a 2010 Honda Accord being driven by Joy Charlene Huebscher, 48, of a Chattanooga address was stopped at the stop sign of GA 341 west, waiting to continue traveling west onto GA 341. A 2008 Nissan Altima being driven by Lisa Bailey, 54 of a Rossville address was traveling south on GA 193. A 1995 Chevy S10 being driven by brain Hipple of a Flintstone address was stopped at the stop sign of GA 341 east, waiting to turn north onto GA 193. The Accord failed to yield right, before moving into the intersection of GA 193, GA 341. The Altima made contact with the Accord’s front-end with its right-side in the intersection of GA 193, GA 341. The Altima began rotating in a counter-clockwise manner, and came to a final uncontrolled rest on Ga 193, facing south east. The Accord began rotating in a clock-wise manner and made contact with Chevy S10’s right-side, with its front-end. The area of impact occurred in the intersection of GA 193, GA 341. This crash was determined using vehicle property damage, vehicle fluids, final uncontrolled rest of both vehicles, driver statements, and witness statements. The driver of the Chevy S10 stated that he did not see the driver of the Accord yield to her right, before entering the intersection, while he was stopped at GA 341 east. Driver of the Altima was injured in the crash along with passenger in the Accord Carter Dawn, 98 were both transported by Puckett EMS to Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton. Joy Huebscher was taken into custody and booked into the Walker County Jail on open container violation, failure to obey stop sign or yield after stopping, DUI alcohol.
