Chattanooga man arrested on several charges after leaving scene of crash in Catoosa County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Saturday, June 13th, 2020, at around 8:55 AM, a 2002 Honda Accord being driven by William Bell, 26 of Chattanooga, was traveling northbound on Cross Street approaching the intersection of Lakeview Drive. Bell failed to stop at the stop sign on Cross Street, and crossed the east and westbound lanes of Lakeview Drive and continued off the right side edge of the roadway. The Honda struck a ditch with its front and came to final rest facing north. The area of impact was on the right side shoulder of Lakeview Drive. Bell fled the scene and was found short distance away by the investigating trooper. Bell was booked into the Catoosa County Jail charged with stop signs, hit and run; duty of driver to return to scene accident, tires, licenses to be carried and exhibited on demand, and weaving.
