Calhoun police officer injured in crash while responding to emergency call Sunday night

According to the Georgia State Patrol on Sunday, April 5th, at approximately 10 p.m., a marked Calhoun City Police Car being driven by Officer Cuprowski was responding to an emergency call, with his lights and siren activated. The patrol vehicle was traveling north on Georgia 136 near C.L. Moss Parkway. Officer Cuprowski was turning into a parking lot and misjudged his clearance. Officer Cuprowski traveled off the roadway into a ditch. The area of impact was approximately 8 feet off the right side of the roadway. According to a post on Facebook Officer Cuprowski suffered a serious foot injury during the crash that will require reconstruction surgery.
