Calhoun Police officer injured after crashing during high-speed chase

Calhoun Police Officer was involved in an early morning chase that began on North Wall Street and came to an end on I-75 near exit 320 after the officer involved in the pursuit crashed his patrol vehicle while attempting to stop the suspect vehicle. The chase started around 12:04A.M. Tuesday, January 15, after an officer noticing the suspect vehicle driving without headlights. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, at which point the suspect vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. The entire pursuit was captured on video and supervisors are currently reviewing the disk in an effort to identify the vehicle/suspect involved. The officer received minor injuries in the crash and is expected to make a full recovery the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
