Armuchee woman cited following three-vehicle crash on Taylor's Ridge Thursday in Chattooga County
Armuchee woman cited after three-vehicle crash Thursday on Taylor's Ridge in Chattooga County. A total of two people were injured in the crash. The Georgia State Patrol has charged a woman in connection with that accident. According to GSP crash report a 2017 Ford Explorer being driven by Melinda Ann Storey, 48 of Armuchee was headed north on Highway 27 around 3:30 P.M. The report said due to a medical condition of the driver, the Explorer crossed the double yellow line and sideswiped a 1997 Ford F-350 truck. After making contact with the F-350, the Explorer continued north where it then collided with a 2002 Mercury Sable head-on. One patient was transported to Floyd Hospital and the other to Redmond Hospital in Rome. The driver of the Ford F350 was not injured. Storey was cited for failure to maintain lane.
