Aragon woman arrested after traffic stop in Adairsville leads to large amount of meth

On Friday, January 4th, Officer C. Jones of the Adairsville Police Department discovered an odd vehicle passing through Adairsville. At the intersection of Hwy. 140 and Hwy. 41, he observed a gray Ford Taurus driving north which displayed a Georgia tag specific to trailers only. Ofc. Jones stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, Ms. Alissa Garrett, age 39, of Aragon. A short time later, a search of her person and then her vehicle resulted in the findings of a large bag of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe. Ms. Garrett was booked into the Bartow County Jail, and faces several charges, including felony possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine w/ Intent to Distribute and driving on a suspended license.
