Alabama man arrested for shoplifting at Trion Walmart after thinking he could get away with it
A Gaylesville Alabama man told a Chattooga County Sheriff’s deputy that he shoplifted at Wal-Mart Tuesday just to see if he could get away with it. Marlin Lee Cavin 57 of a Gaylesville Alabama address found out that he couldn’t just get away with it. A Wal-Mart loss prevention employee called E911 reporting that she had detained Cavin after he tried to push a buggy with $169.39 worth of merchandise out the door without paying for the items. When the Deputy Green spoke with the Mr. Cavin, he stated that he was “just trying to get away with it” and that he had “never done anything like this before." He said that he didn’t know why he even tried this. Cavin was arrested and taken to the Chattooga County Jail on a charge of shoplifting.
