Adairsville traffic stop leads to marijuana and several bags of pills
On Sunday Jan. the 27th, just before midnight, Adairsville Police officers noticed a red pick-up truck stopped in the middle of the road with its headlights on. When the officer turned his patrol car around to investigate the vehicle suddenly turned off onto another street. Officers made a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Nora Espy. Officers questioned Espy about why she was parked in the roadway; her statements were inconsistent with her actions. During this encounter officers also detected the odor of Marijuana coming from her clothing and vehicle. Upon a subsequent search of her and the vehicle, several bags of suspected Marijuana and several bags of pills were located. Espy was booked into the Bartow county jail and charged with possession of a schedule two controlled substance, drugs to be kept in original container, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and impeding the flow by driving side by side.
