Man arrested for DUI after leaving Chattanooga pub and failing to maintain lane in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On April 19th, 2023, at 1:21 AM, Deputy Davis was observing traffic on LaFayette Road when he observed a 2000 Toyota 4Runner vehicle traveling southbound with no tag light. While behind the vehicle, Deputy Davis observed the vehicle cross the white dotted line and immediately go into the left-hand turning lane for Battlefield Parkway without utilizing the vehicle’s turn signal. Deputy Davis performed a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Colby Gage Fowler, 31. According to the report, “Upon approach Deputy Davis noticed smoke coming from under the hood of the vehicle. While speaking with Fowler, Deputy Davis observed bloodshot and glassy eyes. Deputy Davis could also detect the odor of alcohol coming from Fowler. While Fowler was looking through his wallet, Deputy Davis inquired about Fowler’s activities this night. Fowler stated that he had been to Hair of the Dog Pub in Chattanooga and had only drank two beers.” During field sobriety testing, Fowler showed several signs of impairment and a BAC of .169 on a PBT. Fowler was arrested and booked into the Catoosa County Jail and charged with DUI, taillights, failing to maintain lane, and brake lights.
