Dalton woman arrested for DUI after intentionally crashing into boyfriends car and leaving scene

According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, On February 23rd, 2023, Officer Cruz responded to the complaint of the caller’s ex-girlfriend crashing into his vehicle and leaving the scene. Officer Cruz arrived and noticed a white Infiniti Q40 with heavy damage to the front end of the vehicle and smoke coming out of the engine bay. At this time Officer Ruiz arrived on the scene to assist. According to the report, “The victim stated they were at Cherokee eating and having drinks. He stated he told Aza Anna Molina, 26, of Dalton, he did not want to be with her anymore. The victim then stated they returned to his residence, and Aza was upset and got in her vehicle. The victim stated Aza put her vehicle in reverse and started backing out of the parking spot. He then stated Aza put the vehicle in drive and struck his vehicle, a Ford F150. David then stated Aza left the scene and returned shortly before officers arrived.” Officers noticed the victim’s vehicle had damage and also noticed the vehicle pushed into the garage door, which caused the garage door to cave in. Officers then asked the victim approximately how much Aza had to drink at Cherokee, and he stated only one beer. The officer then asked the victim the size of the beer, and he stated approximately 32oz. Officers then spoke with Aza and asked her side of the story. Aza then proceeded to say that whatever the victim said, that is what happened. Officers advised her they still wanted to hear her side of the story. Aza refused to do Field Sobriety Tests. Aza was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. Aza was transported to the Whitfield County Jail. Once at the jail charged with DUI less safe, leaving the scene of an accident, and reckless driving.
