According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, On May 2nd, 2023, at 8:52 PM, While investigating a vehicle crash on West Crawford Street, Officer Fraire advised Officer Thornton that she believed that one of the drivers, Christina Hopkins Turner, 54, of Dalton, was possibly under the influence of alcohol. Officer Fraire assisted with field sobriety tests, where Christina showed several signs of being under the influence of alcohol to the extent that it was less safe for her to be driving. Christina was transported to the Whitfield County Jail, charged with improper backing, failure to stop, and DUI alcohol less safe.
