According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On January 26th, 2023, at 5:42 PM, Deputy Figg was working traffic on GA-3 at Conasauga when he observed a 2006 Ford Mustang in the left lane driving at an extremely high rate of speed. According to the report, “Deputy Figg checked the vehicle on LASER. The vehicle registered 103 MPH in a posted 55 MPH Zone. Deputy Figg conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Ga 3 at Callahan Cavender Road.” Deputy Figg then made contact with the driver, identified as Anthony Raymond Rosas, 19, of Dalton, and he was taken into custody. While waiting on the wrecker, Deputy Figg also observed the windows on the Mustang were dark and illegal. Anthony was transported to the Whitfield County Jail and charged with speeding, reckless driving, and a window tint violation.
