Convicted felon out on probation found with gun and meth during compliance check in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On April 10th, 2023, at 4:42 PM, Detective Lyons was contacted by DCS Golowich, who advised they had conducted a probation compliance check at an address on Trace Lane in Rossville and located meth and a firearm. The Catoosa County Detective learned that Joshua James Breckenridge, 40, of Rossville, opened the door and then went back to his bedroom. DCS followed and found a loaded Ruger pistol lying on Breckenridge’s bed. Dewayne Edward McCallie, 40, of Rossville, was located hiding in a bathroom. Inside the garbage can in the same bathroom was a large black magnetic bag with meth. McCallie advised the firearm belonged to him. DCS also located bags with meth under Breckenridge’s mattress. Breckenridge admitted he had been holding the firearm and that he is a convicted felon who is currently on probation. He also admitted to consuming meth. Neither Breckenridge nor McCallie admitted ownership of the meth. Both Breckenridge and McCallie were transported to the Catoosa County Jail. Breckenridge was booked and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of meth. McCallie was booked and charged with possession of meth.
