A forty-three (43) year old Flintstone, GA man was arrested this afternoon after Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force agents served a search warrant at his Nancy Lane residence, according to Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson.
Eric Lebron Upshaw was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and power cocaine weighing 70 grams, methamphetamine weighing 2 ounces and marijuana weighing 1 1⁄2 pounds, the Sheriff said. Upshaw was booked at the Walker County Detention Facility on Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Marijuana. Additionally, Upshaw, a convicted felon, was found to possess a firearm and was booked on Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Upshaw was currently on probation for a previous drug conviction. The Sheriff expressed his appreciation to the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force. According to previous press release from 2009, Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson said, “On Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a residence at 1597 Straight Gut Road in Rock Spring. During the search, drug agents found a large amount of marijuana concealed in a baby’s crib at the home. Arrested and booked at the Walker County jail was Eric Lebron Upshaw, 29, of 318 McSears Drive, LaFayette, charged with criminal attempt to purchase marijuana, charged with possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Two children in the house, ages 18 months and 7 years, were removed by Walker County Department of Family and Children Services and placed in foster care.” In 2021 Upshaw was arrested on domestic assault related charges.
